Audience & Tags

The Audience section in Signalbit helps you understand and manage the people who receive your notifications.

Subscriber

A subscriber is a user who has granted permission to receive notifications from your website or application. Each subscriber is uniquely identified and stored in Signalbit’s system, allowing you to:

  • Track how many users are reachable
  • Segment subscribers based on behavior or attributes
  • Send targeted notifications for higher engagement

Subscribers are automatically added when they opt in to notifications and will remain in your audience list until they unsubscribe or clear their permissions.

Subscriber Status:
  • Subscribed → The user has allowed notifications and will receive your messages.
  • Unsubscribed → The user has turned off or removed permission and will no longer receive messages.

Tags

Tags in Signalbit are used to group subscribers based on attributes that you define. Tags make it easier to organize your audience and send targeted notifications.

A tag consists of two parameters:
  • Key → The category or label (e.g., plan, location, interest)
  • Value → The specific detail for that key (e.g., premium, australia, sports)
For example:
  • plan: premium → Groups subscribers who are premium users
  • location: australia → Groups subscribers located in Australia
By applying tags, you can create segments and deliver personalized messages to the right audience.
